| A co-founder, Dr. Xiao is Vice President of R&D and is US Nanocorp’s chief technology "engine of growth." He has over 60 technical publications in the area of materials science, including two book chapters, and co-edited a MRS publication. He has several patents pending. Dr. Xiao received his Ph.D. degree in 1991 in Metallurgy and Materials Sciences, from the University of Connecticut. He has pioneered the aqueous solution reaction (ASR) approach to the low-cost chemical synthesis of nanophase materials, especially as related to battery and catalysis applications, including MnO2 and Ni(OH)2, as well as wear- and corrosion-resistant coatings. | |
